|

Ceramic curling and flat irons coming in vary degrees of quality, options, weights, and sizes. The higher priced irons are of better quality and meant for salon use. The lower priced items are for occasional use, or for budget minded users. Regular Flat iron's heat must penetrate hair from the outside, exposing it to more heat and dryness.
Ceramic quickly radiates far-infrared heat that penetrates the center of the hair shaft, exposing hair to less heat, preserving its natural moisture and luster.
When using a styling iron for the first time, select the LOWEST heat setting and test on one small section of hair for 5 to 8 seconds. If you want to use a higher setting, be sure to gradually increase the temperature. Never style hair for the first time on a high setting as this may damage your hair. Use only as much heat as you need for effective straightening or smoothing. Over time, using more heat than necessary can result in hair damage.
Helpfull hints:
Hair should be clean and completely dried before using any styling iron.
Allow the appliance 50 seconds to heat.
For straightening or smoothing, hold a 2-inch section of hair between plates and glide them slowly through hair. Use one hand for your hair and other to lightly hold the plates closed. When done with section of hair, release the pressure on the iron to let the hair fall out.
Allow hair to cool before combing or brushing.
When you are done with the iron, be sure that it is unplugged and cool before putting it away.
